MotoGP 2021: In 2022, Jack Miller will continue with Ducati

Thriller Miller will continue to ride the Bologna missile in the 2022 MotoGP season after Ducati extended his contract for another year. In 2022, Ducati Factory Team will have two riders: Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia.

Jack Miller, 26, has been confirmed as a member of Ducati’s factory MotoGP squad for the 2022 season. The factory rider will be joined by Francesco Bagnaia, who has signed a two-year contract with the team in 2021.

Miller joined the Ducati factory team this season after riding for Pramac Racing, a Ducati satellite team. He initially agreed to a one-year contract with the option to extend it for the following year, which he did.  “I am thrilled to be able to continue my adventure with the Ducati Lenovo Team also next season!” Miller said.

Miller is currently ranked fourth in the current MotoGP standings, with 64 points. That puts him 4 points behind Johann Zarco and 16 points behind Fabio Quartararo, the current championship leader. Miller won pole at Jerez after Quartaro suffered an arm-pump during the race, and despite two long-lap penalties at Le Mans, he still led the race.

“For sure, he is one of the riders that better knows how to understand our Desmosedici GP to fully take advantage of its potential in any condition, as the recent success in Le Mans has demonstrated.” said Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna. “As always, our goal remains the Championship title, and we believe that with Jack and Pecco, we will be among the main protagonists of the 2022 title charge.” he added.
