In 2020, he earned two top 10s and an average finish of 24.3. In 2019, he earned one top five and three top-10 finishes. Preece also has competed in several NASCAR Xfinity Series races for Joe Gibbs Racing that saw him record two wins. He won his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in 2021; it doubled as his first career start.
