Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd., or Nismo for short, is Nissan Motor Company’s in-house tuning, motorsports, and performance subsidiary. Nismo is a Japanese racing team that competes in the JSPC, JTCC, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the 24 Hours of Daytona. It was founded in 1984 by the merger of two motorsport departments. They compete in Super GT, the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, and Formula E at the moment.

Nissan entered the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2009 with a Nissan GT-R manufactured by Nismo. Drivers champions in 2011 were Krumm and Lucas Luhr. Nismo has been producing the GT-R GT3 for the Blancpain Endurance Series since 2011. Nismo has also created production Nissan GT-R cars for the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

They also offer the Nismo Global Driver Exchange, which is a pool of drivers. This gives factory drivers the opportunity to compete in major events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Dubai, and the Bathurst 12 Hour.
