Tom Sykes (born August 19, 1985 in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England) is an English motorcycle racer who has been competing in the World Superbike Championship since 2008. Sykes quit the Kawasaki factory racing team after finishing fourth in 2018, and began racing BMWs for Shaun Muir Racing in 2019. Sykes also has the most career pole positions in the World Superbike Championship, and is second only to Troy Corser in career race starts.
In 2007, he rode a Stobart Vent-Axia Honda in British Superbikes for the first time, finishing sixth in the championship. Following this success, he was signed by the Rizla Suzuki team for the 2008 season, where he finished fourth in the championship and made wildcard World Superbike appearances at Brands Hatch and Donington Park, where he impressed strongly, resulting in a World Superbike ride with Yamaha Motor Italia for the 2009 season. He competed in the series in 2010 with a PBM Racing Kawasaki. In 2013, for Kawasaki, he won his first SBK title.
